Apart from lost in output, another effect might be the increase social instability, I mean increase in crime rate. What is more, think of the long term effect, if people are kept unemployed for a long time, they will not be able to work again even if there is a oppotunity for them because they don't know how to do that ; The increse in unemployment will also increase the government expenditure, because teh increase in the unemployment benefit.

如果仅从楼主定义的“经济”效应上看，失业的成本主要有两类：

1、失业者的私人成本——收入上的减少，等于以前的工资与任何失业救济之间的差额

2、失业的社会成本：产出损失，等于现实产出和潜在产出之间的差额。这包括失业引起的除失业者以外的其他经济主体的损失

（1）政府损失了税收收入，还要增加相应的支出

（2）企业损失了在充分就业情况下所能赚取的利润

（3）其他工人损失了国民产出较高时本应挣得的额外工资
