Citigroup 花旗:亚洲未来一周重大事件 03.09
The Week Ahead Asia Edition

Highlights
?? China. The economy could have grown at a faster pace at the beginning of the
year on investment likely rebounding (p. 2).
?? India. Industrial production to remain buoyant as macro and sector trends
remain supportive of growth (p. 3).
?? Korea. We expect a slight increase in the jobless rate, on the back of resilient
job growth (p. 3).
?? Singapore. Retail sales likely remained robust from tourism, while non-oil
domestic exports probably contracted due to fewer working days (p. 4).
FX and IR Updates
?? Indonesia. We have shifted our forecast of the one-month BI rate to 8.75% for
April 2007 and expect BI to pause afterwards
?? Philippines. We believe the cycle of monetary policy easing has ended.
?? Singapore. We lowered our SGD three-month interbank rate forecasts given a
recent fall, possibly from ample liquidity and higher likelihood of future Fed rate
cuts.
?? Taiwan. We nudged up the three-month TWD slightly higher on heightened
political noise and likely JPY weakness.
?? Thailand. A combination of modest external surpluses and lackluster demand
probably underpinned modest weakness in the onshore USD/THB.
