Sensitivity Of U.S. Port Areas To Locational Changes In Export Grain And Soybean Demand
2006-04-29
A spatial modeling procedure is used to analyze impacts of changes in world demand location for U.S. grains and soybeans. Analysis focuses on U.S. port area sensitivity to alternative world demand scenarios. Results indicate U.S. port area grain receipts are generally insensitive to hypothesized locational modifications in world demand.
