John Toye

John Toye is a Senior Research Associate of Queen Elizabeth House, University of Oxford.
He was educated at Cambridge, Harvard University and the School of Oriental and African Studies of London University.
After teaching development economics at Cambridge University in the 1970s, he became successively a professor of development economics at the universities of Wales, Sussex and Oxford.
He has also worked for the United Nations (Director of UNCTAD 1998-2000). He is currently researching on bureaucracy and has authored seven books, including Keynes and Population (Oxford UP 2000), and with Richard Toye The UN and Global Political Economy (Indiana UP 2004). |
