Hi, there. The recursive dynamics in macroeconomics is really borrowed from time series econometrics. Sargent's book is neither recommended as a good one in macro nor a valuable one in econometrics abroad here.

These people made the simple world more complicated. But in econometricians' view, we do not recommend students to investigate time and energy in these materials. Your course instructors should be discernable in recommending textbooks.
