第一节　概述
植物性非营养生物活性物质：这些次级代谢产物相对于初级代谢产物而言含量甚微，但种类繁多，是植物进化过程中为适应周围环境（如杂草、病虫害、紫外线等）而生成的各种活性分子。尽管这些次级代谢产物作为抗虫剂、拒食剂等对植物本身具有一定意义，但并非人类所必需，属非营养素类成分（除个别是维生素的前体物，如β-胡萝卜素），故被称为植物性非营养生物活性物质，也统称为植物化学物（phytochemicals）。
