Research Assistant Position

Dr. Qianlong Liu is seeking a graduate student to assist with projects in the fields of corporate finance, insurance economics, and risk management. Candidates are expected to be on the path of pursuing an academic career, and have a genuine interest in research. Dr. Liu is a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management at Lingnan University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Risk Management and Insurance at Georgia State University. His research currently focuses on financial risk management in the insurance sector.

Eligibility
• Applicants should currently be a master or Ph.D. student. Having a major in finance, economics, insurance, risk management, or accounting, is preferred.
• Applicants should have sufficient experience in empirical studies, particularly, data manipulation and quantitative analyses.
• They should be familiar with econometric methods, and able to conduct empirical analyses with proficiency in R, SAS, or STATA.
• They should possess an excellent command of academic reading and writing in English.

• The position can either part time or full time; working remotely is an option.
