Dear COST-action colleagues,
We hope this email finds you well. We are really please to bring to your attention a recently launched EU research project, which is one of the many outcomes of the COST action we were all part of.
May 1st was the official start date for the Horizon 2020 action “CLISEL – Climate Security with Local Authorities“. CLISEL sets out to develop an innovative approach to the climate change-security nexus in the European region. Most academic and policy initiatives to date have focused on how the impacts of climate change outside of Europe could (in)directly impact on security within Europe. CLISEL sets out to explore the climate-security nexus from within European borders, looking at local institutional and political contexts. To do so, CLISEL will organize a series of initiatives and workshops in collaboration with local authorities in Sardinia (CAL) and other academic partners – Cagliari University (coordinator), KTH, University of Bern, Lancaster University - most of which were involved in the recently completed COST action.
We are still working on the communication platform, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as CLISEL goes live on twitter and other social media.
Please note that there are two post-doc positions open within CLISEL, one in Bern, deadline for submission: 15 June 2016 (
http://www.wti.org/institute/about/#17667-job-vacancies) and one in Lancaster, deadline for submission: 19 June 2016 (
https://hr-jobs.lancs.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=A1542).
Of course, it would be great if you could signal the advert to researchers in your networks, and we would be very thankful if you could circulate the calls as you please.
With best wishes,
Elisa and Giovanni
