杂志简介:The mission of the Association for Consumer Research is to advance consumer research and facilitate the exchange of scholarly information among members of academia, industry, and government worldwide. One of the key functions of ACR is to facilitate the growth and advancement of the field of consumer research. To this end, ACR hosts and supports a number of conferences as well as reviews and publishes scholarly research publications. This mission is reflected in the ACR logo  which symbolizes the three interest groups, the members of academia, industry and government, whose scholarly exchange and collaboration reflect the essence of ACR.Beyond affirming ethical research conduct as a basic moral value, ACR recognizes the importance of ethics in the exchange of scholarly information and stands behind basic principles of research conduct; namely (a) honest design, analysis, reporting, and representation of research and (b) respect for others involved in the research process (e.g., coauthors, reviewers, respondents and readers).

我的评论:该刊是消费者研究领域的重要期刊,是每年的ACR会议的论文集,刊载与消费者相关的最新研究成果。文章可以是摘要,也可以是扩充的摘要,可以是全文,但篇幅不能太长。该刊相对来说门槛没JCR那么高,但是是消费者行为研究方面得到公认的,地位还是较高,当然发表难度也较大。国内不少学者发表过。

Building on a great tradition of global marketing scholarship, IJRM aims to contribute substantially to the field of marketing research by providing a high-quality medium for the dissemination of new marketing knowledge and methods. Among IJRM's targeted audience are marketing scholars, practitioners (e.g., marketing research and consulting professionals) and other interested groups and individuals.

IJRM is a broad journal that aims to be at the forefront of the field. Hence, it welcomes contributions in various aspects of marketing. The editors, while accepting a wide array of scholarly contributions from different disciplinary approaches, especially encourage research that is novel, visionary or pathbreaking. Replications and very minor improvements of methods or theories will generally not be publishable in IJRM. All submissions must be interesting, relevant to marketing, sufficiently rigorous both conceptually and methodologically, and written in clear, concise and logical manner. For non-native English speakers, the use of a copy-editor is strongly encouraged.

我的评论:   这个journal有一个policy,
no-revision option.
总编有一天终于忍受不了econ 期刊审稿时间过长的情况,在EI的版面上发了个声明,任何投稿人都可以选这个no-revision option. 如果选了,整个审稿过程就会快很多,但是不能revise,要么accept, 要么reject.
我比较risk averse,到现在也没选过这个option.

那是因为上面提到的某些好杂志,按国内说法本来就不是什么“SCI核心”,是SCIE--即SCI扩展版的。
但是这并不代表他们的质量比那些“SCI核心”的要差。国内太习惯以什么核心不核心的来区分杂志了,而在国外主要是靠同行的公认来给杂志分等级。
我导师的儿子在英国排名前20的大学当老师,他给了我们一张英国经管学术界公认的学术期刊等级表。
这表是全英国经管学术界主要的参考标准,美国各大学也有类似的表,与英国的这张差别不大(英国的这张如是英国主办的杂志级别可能稍微高点)。


下面以“OPERATIONS RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCE”为例。
该表分得较细,比如运作管理方面还有“OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY”这一类。下面如有知名但未列出的好杂志,那就是分在后面这一类中了。

杂志级别越高,质量越好,同等级别相差不大。



补充一点:我导师的儿子发表了这上面第三等级的一篇,第二等级的若干篇,第一等级和没有等级的若干篇才找到这个教职的。
                   国外常常只叫你列出你自己最满意的5篇。由于他们学校只认3、4等级的,所以在他们学校的网页介绍上,他只列出了一篇。
                   另外,杂志的级别作用很大。他这个职位的前任因为发表了3到4篇第四等级的论文,转去剑桥大学当教授了。
                   而令一位即使发表了7篇第三等级的(没有第四等级的)都还没评上副教授。
                    有此跟来访的美国拉斯维加斯大学经管学院的院长交流,他告诉我们要在他们学校得到tenure,其中一个硬性指标就是要在受聘的6年内发表10篇论文,
                   必须要有第四等级的一篇,第三等级的2篇。
