May I suggest you to consider the Ph.D. program in Finance at the University of Melbourne?
Our newly re-designed Ph.D. program has a comparable curriculum with other research intensive programs in the U.S. with two years' course work and requires four to five years to complete. Many esteemed scholars come to give seminars and attend the Finance Downunder conference here. All enrolled students will get the tuition waiver, generous tax-free scholarship & research allowance.  In addition, Melbourne is a fantastic city to live, often ranked as the most liveable city in the world.
