I carefully consider and analyze every step I take. I am strong-mined with a competitive streak and the aspiration to succeed at the highest level.
Self-motivation and Perseverance
Last semester, in order to do better in financial accounting, I disciplined myself to solve one new problem every day and raise at least 3 questions regarding the chapter being learned every week. I persevered with this discipline since mid-term and finally got an A- for this course.
Handling competition and challenges
I was ranked beyond 20th in my class at the entrance of high school. Confronted with severe competition, I kept striving and made adjustments as quickly as possible every time I failed. I carefully analyzed reasons for each of my failure and learned from my competitors. I was ranked 3rd throughout my province in the NCEE.
Independent and analytical thinker
Our group undertook to design a market plan for Honeymoon as our project in marketing course. Being aware of the current trend of living more healthily, and having studied lots of comments from consumers through internet, I put forward a proposal independently to develop a new product line which comprise of desserts made from various vegetables. This proposal was accepted by my group and acclaimed by my professor.
Team leadership
As a leader, I took the responsibilities for other team members as well as myself when processing our project in English course. Whenever there were conflicts between my teammates and me, I would examine myself to find out if problems derived from me, and then sincerely listen to their voices. We could always come to a consensus and go on smoothly.

Dear Sir:
I am writing to you to apply for an opportunity of taking QFIN as my major programme. Knowing QFIN is one of the best programmes provided by business administration, I set it as my goal the first day I began my study here. I have strong interest in finance and quantitative methods, which are the two core ## provided by this programme.
I first developed my interest in finance after reading a book named The logic of finance written by professor Zhiwu Chen. I was impressed by prof. Chen’s deep analysis of what is finance about by talking about the culture and institution of wealth. However, just interest is not enough. After taking courses of financial accounting and macroeconomics, I gain a deeper and more rational insight into finance and am even more absorbed in the world of finance.
Currently, I am taking a math course so as to facilitate my capability of quantitative analysis. I have developed a habit of regularly reading The Standard especially the business column and also sometimes read The Economist so that I can keep pace with new economic and financial trends.
I would be most grateful if you could consider me as one of your interviewees. Please find enclosed my CV where you can find further information.
Yours Sincerely,
Wang Ce
