不过虽然每个单词看上去我都认识，但就是翻译不出来，到底是什么意思呢？

We really need to raise our game. 我们必须得提高水平了。

Raise 这个单词是“举起，抬起”的意思，game 表示“游戏”，但 raise one's game 不要直接理解为“举起某人的游戏”，而是指的“提高水平，提高表现”的意思，To increase one's effort or improve one's performance.

发音

我们在读这句话的时候，要注意 raise 和 game 这两个单词的发音，中间都是发双元音/eɪ/。我们在发这个音的时候，可以先发/e/的音，再把下巴抬起慢慢滑向/ɪ/音，发音是音量从强到弱。
