Sr. Financial Analyst – Global Marketing FP&A

Primary Job ResponsibilitiesBeing a part of eBay China Analytic Center, Sr. Financial Analyst – Global Marketing FP&A in this new role will partner with Global Marketing Analytics team for the financial planning and analysis supporting the ~$1.3B/year Marketplaces Global Marketing budget.

Primarily this will include working with San Jose partner and world-wide finance manager to prepare annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts and monthly expense variance analysis.
In addition this person will coordinate with cross-team to standardize metrics and reporting system.

Other Job Responsibilities

· Work with various business partners to create, publish and own standardized reports on key business drivers.
· Analyze and synthesize findings on financial and business metrics. Recommend action items for improvement.
· Coordinate with global finance professionals (especially regional FP&A teams) to integrate their business plans and results into the global finance performance.
· Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs

Job Requirements
· Minimum 5 + years of progressive analytics, financial planning and forecasting experience in the relevant field
· Strong systems and documentation skills
· Strong business and finance acumen
· Project management skills and a desire to drive sustainable change
· Bachelor degree required. Finance background and Master degree is preferred

Basic Qualifications

· Diligent, highly accurate with extreme attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadline
· Highly organized and motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects and the ability to manage projects to completion
· Demonstration of critical thinking and ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
· Ability to work well independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and other analysis tools used for modeling, report creation, and trend forecasting
· Knowledge with at least one programming language. Prior experience with SAS or in the field of quantitative analysis a plus
· Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
