Design and program SAS/SQL code to process data for analysis and modeling.
Extract data from various sources.
Document existing and new SAS and SQL code processes.
Utilize database knowledge, programming skills and data manipulation / query tools to produce actionable reports (e.g. list counts, ad hoc queries, campaign summary reports, etc.) to meet clients’ needs.
Conducts data- and analytically-intensive tasks that generate analytic insights and recommendations to enable continuous, measurable improvement of clients’ marketing campaigns.
Utilize data analysis and statistical modeling to develop insights, recommendations and hypotheses.
Follow instruction, work independently, and manage both short and long-term projects through to completion.
Summarize and communicate analytic findings, insights and recommendations via summary documents and presentations to support management decision-making.
Interact with statisticians, managers, and directors of modeling or other teams.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Master’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, economics, operations research or other quantitative field.
1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
Familiar with generalized linear model procedures.
Knowledge of multivariate statistical techniques (discriminant analysis, logistic regression, CHAID, cluster analysis, factor analysis, generalized linear model procedures).
Significant demonstrated experience with dataset creation, manipulation (sorting, merging, variable creation) and analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Minimum of one (1) year SAS programming – wide range of experience with Data Steps, Procs Stats, Macros).
Self motivated and independent thinker.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Must be able to work additional hours as needed.
