For the article about Microsoft buying Skype, it is a risky investment. But since Microsoft is rich in cash and ambitious on developing new ways, such as mobile phones and new areas for online using, this act might be beneficial on the long run. In the short term, the benefits are not coming easily.

If Microsoft can integrate skype with wp7, wp7 will be very attractive to comsumers. But Microsoft need to take care of Mobile network operators' dissatisfaction.
