From my point of view , I agree micro taking over Skype. Recent years macro seems to seek another strategic approach to stimulate their increase even though micro has been achieved in many fields, even caught Sony up in video game competition. For instance, at the end of 2010, micro sold its free charge space.
Micro's this movement imply it starts to switch free chatting online tool to charge Tele online tool. The chief reason I assume is big competition, messy controlling and low revenue. Buddy, and other substituted chatting software effect micro's further decision in chatting tool updating. On the contrary, Skype has been keeping stead increasing, holding consumets. More importantly, its own comparatively clear market. Micro would rather invest in new market. Updating technology is another factor force micro to choose Skype. Cost for innovations will cost far more money and the risk will be unpredictable. Taking over available one is smart choice.
Besides, Skype is still popular in western countries .
