武汉大学高级研究中心是我国最早采用国际规范，培养数理经济与数理金融理论人才的基地。自创办以来，高级研究中心培养出大量理论和应用型人才，已成功输送数百名学生到包括哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、斯坦福大学、普林斯顿大学、芝加哥大学、纽约大学、加州大学伯克利分校、哥伦比亚大学、布朗大学、西北大学等在内的世界著名大学继续攻读博士学位。他们或已在美国、新加坡、香港和国内著名高校任教，或已经进入IMF等国际机构和著名研究院所工作，或正在苦心攻读，或即将顺利毕业，他们在各自的岗位上均取得了骄人成绩。
面对持续升温的“留学热”所带来的激烈竞争，本年度高级研究中心数理经济与数理金融专业学生依旧凭借出色的综合实力赢得了数十所世界一流院校的青睐。在中心主任邹恒甫教授的办学精神的鼓舞和推动下,在中心副主任邹薇教授的悉心指导、鼓励以及大力推荐下，在近年来陆续访问中心的海外知名教授 Robert Barro, Eric Maskin, Kala Krishna, Vijay Krishna, Pok-Sang Lam, Ping Wang, Dangyang Xie等学者的极大关爱和支持下，在中心众多老师的培养和帮助下，中心学子在今年的出国留学申请中再创佳绩。
在此我们欣喜地通告本年度IAS留学申请的结果。截至2011年5月中旬，数理经济与数理金融试验班获得世界名校的博士项目录取和全额奖学金18人次，获得博士项目部分奖学金与录取18人次，获得经济学、金融学、数理金融、精算学、金融工程学等硕士项目录取及奖学金97人次。

近年来，中心学子在海内外完成博士学业后已有20多名同学在美国密歇根(Michigan)大学、爱荷华（Iowa）大学、夏威夷(Hawaii)大学、香港大学、香港科技大学、香港中文大学、新加坡国立大学、南洋理工大学、北京大学、清华大学、复旦大学、上海财经大学、浙江大学、华中科技大学等高校任教。有的同学学成后在国际货币基金组织（IMF）、美联储堪萨斯分行研究部、香港金融管理局等重要机构工作。他们已经成为各高校或政策机构的教学和科研骨干，在国外SSCI期刊上发表文章10余篇，在《经济研究》等国内权威的经济学杂志上发表了30多篇文章，取得了突出的成绩。许多学生定期或不定期地返回中心授课讲学，为中心注入新的活力，为中心在读的学生打开更为广阔的视野。
