You've probably heard that Germany decided, in the wake of the Fukushima accident, to phase out all nuclear plants in ten years. This means that they will have to replace one-quarter of the nation's energy supply within a decade. Part of the plan is to double the amount of electricity from renewable sources to thirty-five per cent, among others. This anticipated transformation of the German energy sector would amount to nothing less than a veritable energy revolution.
