We are interested in the process of joining the Party, how it varies by one’s education, one’s first job, age, and gender.

• Create a variable dur, which equal the difference between the year of joining in the party and the birth year. According the Party’s constitution, only adults of 18 years or older can applied for the party membership. Therefore, we define people aged 18 or above as our risk set.
