You will be happy to know that Professors Jagdish Sheth (Emory University, USA), Naresh Malhotra (Nanyang Business School, Singapore), Prof. Arun Jain (State University of New York at Buffalo) and myself are co-chairing the International Marketing Conference: “Shaping the Future of Research in Marketing in Emerging Economy: Looking Ahead” under the auspices of the elite Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India. The conference will be held during January 12-14, 2012 at the Noida Campus (a suburb of Delhi) in India. It is being organised in academic association with Academy of Marketing Science, Market Research Society of India, State University of New York at Buffalo, Nanyang Business School, and EuroMed Research Business Institute and the Academy of Indian Marketing.

We propose to bring together eminent research scholars from around the globe to addresses the issues, challenges, and opportunities in the global market place with the emergence of BRICS countries. Towards this we will invite research papers, have guest speakers from the industry, and organize a doctoral colloquium. Proceedings of the conference will be published. Following the increasing number of submissions and a request from many authors to send a paper or extended abstract for presentation in the conference, we are happy to extend the submission deadline of extended abstract to September 10, 2011.

We would appreciate if you can send us your recent research work in emerging economy countries or a comparative study on emerging vs. emerged economy countries.
