1、主编没有直接拒绝你，就是说你的Paper还有希望，尽管她说得有点严峻，并不是不可能改好的，主要看你后期的努力程度和研究效果；
2、你可以根据审稿人的意见判断工作量大不大，是否能够在12月11日前改好，如果判断不能在规定日期前改好，最好立即向主编申请延期。注意，论文改好后，要逐条回答审稿人的意见，不要笼统回答，否则，可能被审稿人或主编立即干掉（至少我做SSCI审稿人时是不欣赏笼统回答审稿意见的）！
3、很多好的SSCI杂志拒稿率非常高，以Journal of Finance为例，最新统计数据表明（我订了JF的纸质版，电子版不披露这些信息）：第一轮拒稿率77.9%，录用率0%；第二轮到第五轮累计拒稿率15.8%；最终录用率6.3%。编辑给你修改机会，说明你已经超越80%左右的稿子了。
我的经验"Please note that I consider the revision to be risky."只是一句套话, 免得以后你跟他扯皮说要修改又不给发表. 如果编辑真的认为很risky的话,就不会给你修改的机会了. 如果只给一个月的时间应该不会是大改, 大修改一般会给1-2年时间.所以现在应该是专心修改,其他什么也不要想. 一定要让审稿人满意,没条件也要创造条件让他(她)满意.
