November 14-November 20 transaction volume and ASP
On a wow basis, 17 of the 30 cities with data available saw volumes increase,
with a group median of 4% (vs. 4% decrease for the week ended Nov 13). On a
yoy basis, 28 of the 31 cities saw volumes decrease, with a group median of -
34% (vs. 36% decrease for the week ended Nov 13). Compared with the Oct
2011 weekly average, 18 of the 27 cities saw volumes decrease, with a group
median of -17% (vs. 20% decrease). Tier 1/3 cities outperformed while Tier-2
cities are relatively weak; among regions, volumes in YRD region and Central
& Western China performed strongly while volumes in other regions were
weak compared with the prior week. In ASP, on a wow basis, 25 cities with
data available on a median level saw prices stay flat (vs. flat for the week
ended Nov 13); on 3-month cumulative basis, 32 cities with data available saw
prices still flat on median level from the prior 3-month average; 23 cities with
data available saw ASP 4% off from last peak on median level.
