Details as follows:

YPARD is an international movement by Young Professionals FOR Young Professionals in Agricultural Research for Development. YPARD operates as a network; it is not a formalized institution.
This global on-line and off-line communication and discussion platform is meant to enable YPs all over the world to express their ideas and realize their full potential towards a dynamic ARD.

Mission
- Facilitating access to resources and exchanging information and knowledge among young professionals across disciplines, professions, ages and regions. This covers funding, career and capacity building opportunities in  agriculture
- Getting more institutional support for YPs and broadening opportunities for young professionals to contribute to strategic ARD policy debates  
- Promoting agriculture in education and as a career choice among Young Professionals (YPs)
- Building solid and effective communication between Young and Senior Professionals and other stakeholders within ARD, which includes interdisplinary research, dialogue between farmers, researchers and donors and between actors in the “north and south”.
Our Activities
Sharing Information
Developing e-services for information dissemination and networking through the YPARD website. Information provision relates to funding, jobs, events, news for and about young professionals in ARD.

Networking
Participating actively in various meetings including thematic, strategic and policy debates – on-line and off-line. As for example:

The Special series of blogs on Agriculture, ICTs and Young Professionals, in collaboration with e-Agriculture.
Express, share and discuss your views! Launch a discussion or contribute to existing debates on the forum and/or create a blog: you dedicated place where you can share any information and thoughts you think valuable for the YPARD community!

Organizing and strengthening local bases of YPARD members in selected regions
Finding grants and cooperating with regional actors leading to a long term sustainability of activities. YPARD, for example, partners in organizing workshops and commission a number of studies for further capacity building actions.
