We are currently conducting studies into time preference. In these studies, people make choices between outcomes that occur at different points in time -- such as money now versus more money later.

Hi, I don't have my CV, but I know you will want some info about me. As of TODAY, I am Professor of Behavioral Economics at Durham Business School. Up until today, I was Reader in Operational Research at London School of Economics. Previously, I have worked at Leeds University Business School, University of Illinois. and Carnegie Mellon University. I have a PhD from University of Toronto. My PhD was in psychology. I specialise in studies of judgment and decision making. Especially Intertemporal Choice. Right now I am teaching Management Decision Making at Peking University. The course is part of of the LSE Summer school. Below are my publications, copied from my web site. daniel

你看这个Read经常跟Loewenstein大牛合作,就知道他本人也很牛了。

我问他这个合作关系是怎么建立的,他说是他在卡内基·梅隆做博士后研究时,对罗文斯坦的一篇文章感兴趣,于是就跑去找他,交流想法,慢慢就一起co-authoring了。

我进而问他对research cooperation和academic advancement的关系有什么看法,他说不是因为学科不发达,而是因为没有common language云云,想必是没想过这个问题,或者根本无法想象中国的情况,我遂作罢。
