I wonder how serious you are about studying abroad. From your brief description above, I believe that u r a very good student. If you are serious about studying abroad, please be aware that you have much more opportunities open around the world. As to the expense, it is up to you to decide if it is worth it, but I would advise you to think carefully about the placement rate of your program and the immigration policy of the country you are considering. Do not pay too much attention to the rankings.

By the way, I can see that your interest focuses on finance rather than actuarial science. I  want to remind you that these two are two very different fields and I would not recommend an actuarial science program unless you are 100% sure that you want to be an actuary in the future. You may want to do some research on these two fields to get a better understanding of their career developments.

非常感谢，但是我已经做了决定，在今天参加了南开大学组合数学中心的面试，已经确定录取。南开-墨尔本的精算吧，我再三思考，觉得我没有那个魄力，因为我去了那里，就不但想把钱挣回来，还想在将来获得更多经济上的回报，因为我对精算本身并无太多兴趣。我本科读的数学，本科也看了一些金融类的书，主要是期权期货方面的，比较感兴趣，但我个人的天分更多在数学上（只是对于我自己而言的相对优势），将来有机会的话我还是希望会接触一些经济学的东西，我将来更多是打算做学术，现在我还有点学术热情，希望跟着导师好好做

I agree that futures, options or other financial derivatives are very interesting topics to study. An actuarial program would not be very helpful for that. I am sure a math program is what you need. Good luck.
