关于2012年度国家自然科学基金委员会（NSFC）与加拿大卫生研究院（CIHR）健康研究合作计划项目新增资助领域的说明

　　为推动和支持中国和加拿大科学家在卫生领域开展合作研究，促进两国大学、医院、及科研院所间的合作与交流，根据双方签署的科学合作谅解备忘录精神，我委与加拿大卫生研究院（CIHR）自2006年起开始共同征集“中加（NSFC-CIHR）健康研究合作计划项目”，资助了一批合作研究项目。截至2011年，双方共同资助了105个合作研究项目。

　　几年来，双方的合作领域也在不断拓展，从2006年的6个领域增加到2012年的12个领域。其中，以下2个资助领域为2012年新增领域：

　　1) Population and Public Health: to provide support for population and public health research that aims to compare how policies shift the distribution of health and illness in different contexts.（申请代码：H26）

　　2) Respiratory Health: to support basic and translational research in respiratory disease including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and acute lung injury, with particular emphasis on better understanding the pathogenesis and facilitating the early detection of airway disease or lung injury.（申请代码：H01）

　　鉴于上述领域为新增领域，特发此说明，提请两国该领域的研究人员关注，欢迎提交项目申请。
