Hi all. I'm also taking the FRM this November.
Now I'm taking the approach by reading one book of core reading first, then refer to study notes and revise key points(Since I noticed each chapter of study notes can really cross reference to a specific chapter of core reading books). It does help me interprete the theories and formula in depth. The problem is since only few chapters in a book are selected by FRM as core reading, my reading is oftenly interrupted if refrence is made to other chapters excluded for FRM. And the biggest challenge is I don't think i can finish all the core reading before November, let alone have enough time to do the past papers. I decide to reverse my reading order for next book, so I will firstly read the study notes, then move on to the core reading for good understanding of key points. Well..Let's see how this new approach will suit me.
I also have the 4th edition of handbook. But so far I didnot find it very useful. The contents are way too concise. This book simply lists all formulas, which makes it extremely difficult for me to absorb the theories or understand how to apply these formulas in questions.
Even there are months left until we sit for the FRM test, I'm already panicking and fear I won't be well prepared by then.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to revise FRM?
Many thanks in advance!
