This public summary report was prepared by Patrick Heffer, Director of the IFA
Agriculture Committee, and Michel Prud’homme, Director of the IFA Production and
International Trade Committee. The first part looks at the global context and agricultural
situation. The second part provides global and regional fertilizer consumption projections
for the period 2011/12 to 2016/17. The third part provides IFA projections of fertilizer
supply and supply/demand balances for the period 2012 to 2016.
