Ofek & Yermack (2000) concludes that executives sell all of their acquired shares from option exercises within one year. The conclusion is very striking.
But I think its R-square is too low, indicating the model has low explanatory power. It's also tricky to draw conclusion on an OLS coefficient that's not even significant.
I think the conclusion is not justified. Let me know what you think.
