For godsake don't compare foreign investment with East India Company World has changed. Open your eyes and look around. I don't understand why Modi is against FDI. He was the person who brought Chinese giant company Huawei to Gujarat... that is nothing but FDI. It is just politics and nothing else. Modi knows very well why FDI is important.

all those who are shouting in favour of FDI ,first do some research on this matter ,FDI will only favour country like china ,korea because giants like walmart will buy the products only from the countries which will provide them at cheap rates and sell it in india at lower price ,indian shopkeepers will be destroyed because they will not be able to compete with them .farmers will also have to sell their products at low cost .in some time whole country will be dependent on china and america .indian economy is growing because it is a self driven economy .most of the production in india is used up in country itself ,but by exposing country to FDI ,first we will see decrease in price ,but with the time they will destroy all the local small business ,then they will have a monopoly and buy products from farmers at lower price and sell to people at the higher price then we will have no option other than buying .only two countries america and china will be benefited at the expense of india..FDI is sweet poison .people in america also do protest against walmart on daily basis .manmohan singh is a good economist but this is not his decision but sonia's decision who got kickbacks from foreign giants.
