Abstract

We explain the proliferation of panel data studies in terms of (1)data availability, (2) the more heightened capacity for modeling the complexity of human behavior than a single cross section or time seies data can possibly allow, and (3) challenging methodology. Advantages and issus of panel modeling are also discussed.
