For FRMs, participating in the CPE program is currently
voluntary. Certified FRMs are strongly encouraged to enroll
in the CPE program in the year they are certified or the
following January.

For ERPs, participation in the program is mandatory and
has been since the program was launched. Certified ERPs
are required to participate in the program in order to use
their ERP professional designation. ERPs are encouraged to
enroll in the program the year they become certified but
may enroll the following January.
