NeuralWorks Predict is an integrated, state-of-the-art platform for rapidly creating and deploying prediction and classification models for business intelligence applications. Predict combines neural network technology with genetic algorithms, statistics, and fuzzy logic to automatically find optimal or near-optimal solutions for a wide range of problems. Predict incorporates years of modeling and analysis experience gained from working with customers faced with a wide variety of data mining, analysis and interpretation problems. While retaining its power and flexibility to quickly construct robust neural networks without having in-depth knowledge of the underlying technology, Predict 3.0 represents a complete upgrade of its intuitive user interface. All command and parameter views follow a property page paradigm, with related features and functions collected in easily identified pages. Also new in Predict 3.0 is a Kohonen Self Organizing Map (SOM) that allows development of sophisticated models that group data records sharing similar trends or patterns. Jack Copper, NeuralWare's CEO, says "the ability to 'cluster' data patterns opens Predict to a wide range of new applications. It also will improve existing applications by providing the ability to pre-process and group data patterns together prior to building specific prediction or classification models. Predict 3.0 has also been developed to be readily localized for international markets. A Japanese version of Predict 3.0 is currently available, and other localized versions are already in the works.

Predict requires no prior knowledge of neural networks. With only minimal user involvement it addresses all the issues associated with building robust models from available empirical data. Predict analyzes input data to identify appropriate transforms, partitions the input data into training and test sets, selects relevant input variables, and then constructs, trains, and optimizes a neural network tailored to the problem. For advanced users, Predict also offers direct access to all key training and network parameters. In Microsoft® Windows environments NeuralWorks Predict can be run either as an add-in for Microsoft Excel to take advantage of Excel's rich data handling and graphing capabilities, or as a command line program that offers powerful batch mode processing. In UNIX and Linux environments, NeuralWorks Predict runs as a command line program.
