　  In thespring of 2005, acclaimed environmental photographer James Balogheaded to theArctic on a tricky assignment for National Geographic: tocapture images to helptell the story of the Earth’s changing climate.Even with a scientificupbringing, Balog had been a skeptic about climatechange.
