3rd July 2013 Morning, Finance Minister of the Republic of Ghana H.E.SETH E.TERKPER met with Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong and entourages at Beijing Kunlun Hotel to discuss the overall cooperation between both sides in the fields of industry, mineral resource development, infrastructure construction, international trade, professional training, etc. H. E. Helen Mamle Kofi, Ambassador of Ghana Embassy in China, CEO Chen Jingru and General Manager Huang, Chao-Huan from Elephant Alliance also attended the meeting. The two parties achieved several consensuses and a draft strategic cooperation agreement between both parties on the same day.
Minister TERKPER expressed gratitude to Elephant Alliance for providing detailed cooperation plan with his country, and he appreciated the Elephant Alliance’s operation model and development direction. Minister TERKPER also presented the details about Ghana’s investment environment and the special policy applicable to Elephant Alliance. Chairman Jin Chenglong explained some of the detailed of EA’s operation. Both parties reached several consensuses in the fields of Industrial Park construction, mineral resources development, infrastructure construction, international trade, professional training, etc.
At the end of the meeting, Minister TERKPER decided to have an agreement drafted basing on the previous discussion about the cooperation plan and he would take the contract back with him. The official contract will be signed once the draft version is passed by the Ghana Cabinet.
