I'm wondering if there are any differences between multilevel models and panel models that give practical advantages of one over the other?
I understand that panel models and multilevel models are estimated differently, but, not being overly familiar with panel models, it's not clear to me if they offer any advantage over multilevel models. Any thoughts or direction are appreciated.
