First, we develop a methodology based on SpVAR (spatial vector autoregressive) models to estimate the spatio-temporal effects of the propagation of shocks on regional growth.
Second, a distinction is made between growth spillovers sent from a region to its neighbouring regions (push-out effects) and growth spillovers received in a region from its neighbouring regions (push-in effects).
