作为想从事科研的研究生来说吧：第一，没有计量是万万不可以的，的功夫高低，论文水平高低主要是看计量玩的好不好，最起码我的感觉是这样的；第二，计量水平高的人大部分都是没有个比较成系统的研究规划，比如说好多统计学院的“大牛”，论文批量，却没有几个方向是连续的；第三，不知道那个老师说过，国内搞模型的，能自己推理的没几个，落在我这里就是抄模型，因为我就不会，但是不得不用，所以论文质量难上去。总之，学好计量还是我的重要任务！

All the three opinions are true. I heard them from my friends separably before.
It is the truth that some papers are very constructive, some are not.
It is all depend on the producing process and motivation.

I believe the beauty of modern science and engineering is quantitative model.
Qualitative description could as beautiful as a poem, however couldn't as powerful as the former.

If you love your job, you can feel your passion; if not, you won't have confidence in what you are doing.

What's the goal of paper? of analysis? or of research?
Why there is a so called template for paper?

Yes, it is the essence of former intelligence. The best practice up to date. And if you are careful enough, you may find out the template isn't stationary.

One of my friend told me, he really want to create something new, something never exist before. That's why he keeps staying in the lab, doing research, and reading papers day after day, year in and year out.

"each paper is my son..." he told me, "I love them with my heart."

Yes, there is another kind of scientist or economist. Their job is to write paper no matter what.
That's the other issue I am not talking about.
