He also directs the International Trade and Investment program at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a former editor of the Journal of International Economics and an associate editor of the American Economic Review). In September 2006 he received the Bernhard-Harms Prize from the Kiel Institute of World Economics in Germany. ALAN M TAYLOR is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis, USA. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London.
