David Romeris the Royer Professor in Political Economy at the University of California,Berkeley, where he has been on the faculty since 1988. He is also co-directorof the program in Monetary Economics at the National Bureau of EconomicResearch. He received his A.B. from Princeton University and his Ph.D. from theMassachusetts Institute of Technology.
