This paper examines the internationalisation path of companies from Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRICs), also known as “emerging multinationals”, with the aim of identifying common themes and significant differences among them, as well as implications they pose for Western companies. For China, case studies include Haier, TCL Corporation, Wanxiang Group.
