1， pension expense 从计算范围上属于pension cost一部分
2，pension cost有点像存货的投资，一部分是纯费用花出去的（也有可能是纯账面收入，这些都受精算假设和市场收益率相对变动影响），一部分算是投资于pension本身（此处请将pension看做成一个资产或者存货）
3，pension expense 属于pension cost当中无法资本化（无法变成资产或者存货）的那部分，计入到P&L 中，具体包括service costs 和 net interest expense/income 
4，注意二者在IFRS和US GAAP下具体处理有点差异，具体请参考教材说明。

还有两个概念：Periodic cost Vs. Total periodic cost。这是CFAI上抄下来的解释：“The periodic cost of a company’s DB pension plan is the change in the net pension liability or asset adjusted for the employer’s contributions.”
“The total periodic cost of a company’s DB pension plan is the change in the net pension liability or asset—excluding the effect of the employer’s periodic contribution into the plan. ”
请问这两个概念是一样的吗？区别是啥？谢谢！

这是同一个概念。the periodic cost of DB plan is the change in the net pension liability or asset "adjusted for"the empoloyers' contribution.实际上说的就是The change in the net pension liability or asset “excluding”the effect of the employers‘ periodic contribution
