One of the managers, Lee, who is in-charge of production line, says that personality is not a factor in determining organizational performance for the assembly line he manages.

Personality is a factor in determining organizational performance?? Well, can we conclude that outgoing guy better not working in a R&D dept, because his outgoing personality would be a negative factor to organizational performance?? Come on!
生产线的属于被窥视的那部分群体,手脚都跟机器一样,个体特性是没法体现出来的,可以说连交流的时间都没有,计件为王。而管理者即主管生产线的李经理当然希望他们这样。但是,我说的这种也许是以前那种管理思维了;如果,将这种束缚解放出来能不能够增加个体特性对绩效的影响,它的权重如何衡量。
