here is my academic guess, r = current assets /  current liabilities
if cycle is really short, current assets may be very close to current liabilities, because no time to accumulate.
The short gap also prevents the ratio from turning bigger, because the gap between A/R and A/P won't grow bigger within a short period.
What's your opinion?
