Francis Joseph Aguilar was Professor Emeritus of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, where he taught since 1965. An authority on strategic planning and general management, he has served as consultant to many firms and is a director of Bowater Inc., Reichhold Chemicals Inc., and Dynamics Research Corporation.[1]

His publications include: Scanning the Business Environment (1967), European Problems in General Management (with Edmund P. Learned and Robert C.K. Kaltz, 1963) and General Managers in Action (1988, 1992).

Aguilar died in 2013.[2]
