There are another 3 books that I am currently reading, related to predictive modeling/GLM:

Intro to Probability Simulation and Gibbs Sampling with R
Markov Chain Monte Carlo in practice
Foundations of Linear and Generalized Linear Models

I believe they are all available here somewhere on this forum, so feel free to discuss them here as well. My goal is to at least find a few of you maybe we can collaborate together on some future GLM projects.

The book is very helpful when I was in the uni. Even in practical, I sometimes go back for some references.
I prefer use SQL and SAS when modelling GLM. SAS also has some build-in functions. And it is said more effective when data is huge (not sure because I rarely use R).
