摘要
Zigbee is a low-power wireless technology based on an open global standard which aims to provide a low-cost network compared with other wireless technology.. This paper presents the advantages of zigbee technology and proposes a solution of Intelligent Transportation System based on zigbee networks. In this solution, zigbee end devices are deployed in vehicles and zigbee network coordinators are deployed in parking area, gas stations, toll stations and intersections, which can send the real-time road conditions information to drivers via zigbee networks. This proposed solution also support SOS feature which will automatically send help information to emergency services department once accident happened.
