I would never spend $60 on this, but the author, Alex Levine, has enough decision making power at the University of South Florida to force masses of students to buy his book. I would be up to page 45 by now, but I have yet to find a pirated copy or the money to buy it. I hope he gives some airtime to feminist critiques of science, but the STEM fetish around here makes me think he probably won't.

Having said that, I also know that USF treats its staff and faculty as terrible as they legally can, and so do publishers.
