How management teams can have a good fight.
by Kathleen M. Eisenhardt, Jean L. Kahwajy and L.J. Bourgeois III
The key to efficient conflict management is conveying remarks and constructive criticisms in
such a way that they do not result in interpersonal conflicts. According to a study conducted on
12 companies, these conflicts may be prevented by developing multiple alternatives to a particular
problem, concentrating more on facts rather than data and establishing common goals. Company
managers are also advised to inject humor to the decision-making process and guarantee the
balance of power structures.
