It depends on your usage. normally now so many researchers want to use matlab, since it is popular and widely used. But my professor uses sill gauss. He said gauss has advantage in matrix caculation. But when you have so good computer knowledge and are good at editing program, you can freely choose these two software.

计量我用的是EVIEWS5,学校原来教的是老掉牙的EVIEWS3.1

统计还是决定用MINITABM，不是电子工业出版社出了个MINITAB的统计分析教程么。

顶起，一般的工业分析，尤其质量检测，更是重视minitab

感觉MINITAB比spss更容易学点，也比较方便。但数据的精度不如SPSS
